Standing on the Shoulders of Giants Holy crap! That was easy.
The Mirror Project In St. Joseph's Hospital in Los Angeles, Christmas 1996. There were all of these mirrored balls ... Kymm Zuckert Thanks to Aaron Cope for the code that makes this happen, and to Dave Winer for the tweaks for a nice implementation that is always in scope, and easy to call. Aaron did the back-end for the Mirror Project, which allows this macro to do it thing... I'm not a programmer. I consider myself an semi-advanced Radio user (somewhere on the spectrum between a newbie and developer -- it can fluctuate wildly some days.) But this was so easy to do, and I thought many folks new to Radio would want to try this macro out, too. How to get the macro MacOS users can option+click on the link below to get this macro for use on your own weblog. (Windows users do the Right-click and Save As... thing) . Mac users may also need to set the type/creator codes to be 'FTsc'/'LAND'. The macro to make a random MirrorProject image and caption appear on your Radio weblog is available for download from my Gems folder. All I had to do is drop it in that folder, Radio did its thing automagically, and now the macro is ready for you to grab it. How to use this thing once you've installed it: Call this macro from your weblog page by pasting the following code snippet into your weblog somewhere (This should work either as part of a home page template, or in a regular post, like this one.): <%randomMirrorProject ()%>
No really, it's almost harder to install than to use. Honest. :-) Got the following wonderful news in my inbox this morning. I know any child of Sean and Susan's will never lack fun and loving in its life! Susan Harper = Susan Broadley = Susy and her husband Sean Broadley are now the proud and happy parents of Hazel Joan Broadley born 5.45 pm today (Sat 12 Jan 2002) weight 8lb 9oz = 3.88 kg. Both well. It seems that in the 21st century it's the new grandfather's job to e-mail friends and family ...
Getting to live in New Zealand is also a bonus, too. (Note to self -- remember new tasks for newbie grandfather. May be relevant in a couple decades.)
