Whoa, Alwin, I may just have found another blogger to be his Alwin(er)Logger, instead of yours. Sorry to be fickle, but he's generated more flow here in a few hours than your blog has all day. Get with the program, OK? :-) Dane liked my pointers to the Usertalk programming resources, and the hits have been chugging in from his site now. Plus, he said he wants someone to be his Alwin(er)Logger, but not in so many words. He thinks it would also facilitate facial hair growth. How's your beard been growing lately, Al?
It's a tough choice I face now... Good news: New version of iCab (v2.7) was released, which fixes some issues regarding passwords and accessing pages. I can now get to many pages that previously were a hassle to get to, since I'm not being constantly prompted for a password once I get into a domain... Bad news: My ability to use the home-brewed cold-fusion based web application needed at work is now completely broken. Previously, I was able to use it, but there were some odd hiccups in doing so. Now I can get to the first page, and then every page thereafter gets an endless loop of prompting for my password with no actual access to the page. The problem is how the whole thing was cobbled together, not with the use of any particular technology or software. *sigh* Even worse, this version of iCab still does nothing for improving support for CSS positioning, as far as I can tell. Rats. [update] Weirder and weirder. I can get in using other browsers, but am locked out using iCab. Meanwhile, other folks in my workgroup using the same version of iCab on the same machine can get in fine, but I get denied. I even tried in between two other folks' successful attempts -- my result? pfeh...
The admins say the group, profile, and permission settings for moi are as they should be for things to work (and the same as the others). Don'tcha hate when this sort of thing happens?
