More taunting of Brother Jed
Brother Jed is part of a traveling group of folks who go from campus to campus so they can 'witness' in front of an often hostile crowd. Some say they do this to show what good christians they are... Western student Matt Russell stripped down to his underwear and socks Thursday in Red Square, holding a sign that read, "This guy gave me a great blowjob." Russell's sign referred to the evangelist he was standing next to, George Smock, who has been preaching in Red Square... I've always viewed Jed as an entertaining speaker, who is able to seize opportunities as they walk by... 5:13:54 PM [] blah blah blah'd on this
Improving your Airport Base Station's reach OK, Alwin, I have two questions for you related to this: Needed: An external Airport antenna for the TiBook. Don't know how or where to hook it, but I damn near have to sit in the same room with the Airport Base Station to keep my connection. Yeesh. First, are you using the most recent version of the Airport software? Second, is the base station mounted as high as possible in the room? Mine is up on top of a kitchen cabinet and near the center of the house, and I've got good 'throw' all throughout the house. SHE's toilet-seat iBook can surf from the neighbor's porch -- I found this out the evening of the last NFL draft, as I was pulling in up-to-the-minute updates from a few sites, while we were sitting on "neighborhood watch". :-) You could use an Orinoco (Lucent/Wavelan/Agere) card in the PC card slot, and they has a connection for an external antenna, but then you'd have this, this thing sticking out the left-hand side of your G4 powerbook. The silver cards are inexpensive now, but the gold one's support 128-bit encryption, which is better than nothing on WiFi. 12:16:26 PM [] blah blah blah'd on this [ blinked via ViewFromTheHeart ]
