Keola with the gentle pushback...
It's not that I wasn't fond of it, rather I blogged it before better seeing the idea you were proposing. Hmmm. This could actually provide an easier potential path for blog-recovery, in case of someone's weblogData.root got scotched somehow, if all of the vital post data were made available... Cool, and very handy for folks who insist on re-learning harsh lessons about data backup. Greg is not too fond of the idea, and offers an alternative. Hmm. Yes it is RU specific, but so are the XML Coffee Cup and Personal Outline functionality, if I'm not mistaken. If we start defining this kind of web service functionality, perhaps others will adopt them. I also want to point to a non-Radio specific solution for making AppleScripts available from a contextual menu plugin for OS X, also from Brent Simmons. The contextual menu plugin is called Big Cat, and you could grab a few scripts for his Big Cat CM plugin, too. It would be easy to roll some scripts to do what I suggested before. Heck, since OS X supports XML-RPC, you could easily modify one of the existing AppleScript-based blog apps which support the Blogger or metaBlogger APIs, and just go to town... (If I only had more time to play with some of these ideas I have -- then maybe I'd see how poor many of them are. Heh. ) 6:33:12 PM [] blah blah blah'd on this [ blinked via Radio Keola ]
About the gas masks thing,... Silly garrett, who wants to sniff men's briefs? a seven year old minnesota boy has taken out a patent on using a swing with a side-to-side motion. what could be next? patents on men's briefs as makeshift gas masks? wonderbread as house insulation? the mind boggles. Doesn't everyone know Wonderbread should be patented as an inexpensive spackle product for temporary patching of apartment walls -- it lasts just long enough to get you through the checkout inspection, and you can roll it in your hands longer to create that perfect off-white shade to match the paint. Um, or so I've been told. Yeah, that's the ticket... 2:36:57 PM [] blah blah blah'd on this [ blinked via dangerousmeta! ]
