Fine new toy for OmniGraffle users
James Spahr cranks out an applescript that ties SQLGrinder and OmniGraffle together to make some interesting diagrams showing web site activity based on the server logs. I love visual displays of data, particularly if they are information dense like the OmniGraffle diagram this script creates. James has used colors to represent html pages and images, and clicking on a symbol representing a page or image opens it in a browser. This could make the task of traffic-tracking for a site almost fun. He also captured a stop-motion animation of the diagram being built, which shows the traffic pattern over time. This could be sooooo useful for webmasters. I'd love to see the script modified to eventually be able to read in the apache log directly, and do it's thing... 8:34:02 PM [] blah blah blah'd on this
Mind-something, that's for certain Link-ho that I am, I saw evidence of activity coming in from ScriptingNews.com, so I swing over and look around. No link that I can see. Later today, more activity. Check again. Still no link to here. Weird. Then the other penny drops. Folks must be coming in using DaveW's new GOB Tool ... 8:18:48 PM [] blah blah blah'd on this
