This one seems pretty obvious on the surface, just think about it for a minute. For todays infrastructure, where would you get fuel cells? There isn't anyplace to get one or refill one. The auto industry has been great at paying off the goverment to extend and remove fuel efficiency requirements. People bought up SUVs which get less than 20 miles per gallon and the last wave of tax breaks for businesses encourages businesses to buy HUGE cars (like over 6000 pound cars). The auto industry and the oil industry are obviously pushing their point into the leaders of our country really well.

The vets found an obstruction near Toute's stomach that was causing her not to be able to get much food at all. They didn't know this at 10am today. At around noon Toute had exploratory surgery to find out what was going on and they found the blockage and removed it. The next 48 hours are critical for Toute.
This is another example of the types of problems we've been stumbling into for the last month. Every problem seems to have an obvious cause which turns out not to be the real problem at all. The obvious fixes just don't work. Only by digging farther and looking for the real problem have we found and fixed these strange problems.
For example - Toute - she wasn't eating and seemed very pokey. The blood test of the first trip to the vets lead us to the antibiotics for her kidneys and a three day vet stay. She came home and didn't improve. Today we found the real problem and Toute just started purring a few minutes ago. This is big progress! Now we have to focus on the next set of results which will indicate if the growth was cancer or not. Toute didn't even smoke.
