My Mom just pointed out an interesting quote from someone who is living in Iraq. He said something like he was amazed at how people were reacting to a single day of power being out while they were living with power outages for the last couple of months.
My Mom just pointed out an interesting quote from someone who is living in Iraq. He said something like he was amazed at how people were reacting to a single day of power being out while they were living with power outages for the last couple of months.
I've tried to find such a quote online and haven't stumbled across it yet (I'm sure it's out there :-)
Even if the words above aren't quite right, the idea brings home how much their society has suffered.
