X-Hive Supports XML:DB XUpdate

X-Hive has announced the addition of some new technologies to X-Hive/DB 2.0. Among them J2EE, WebDAV and XML:DB XUpdate.

This is very significant in that X-Hive is the first commercial vendor to adopt any of the XML:DB technologies. As a founder of the XML:DB Initiative, I'm thrilled to see this, but I'm even more thrilled to see that they used Lexus to do the implementation. Lexus is the reference impl of XUpdate. It's also used by Xindice and Infozone. Lexus was originally developed as part of the Infozone project.

Leveraging Open Source code sharing to bring interoperability is a beautiful thing.
