Microsoft Remedy Hearings:
WMP, Allchin & Security, Windows Demo
It was a busy day at the Microsoft antitrust remedy hearings yesterday, with a number of important developments, including a hint from Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly that she is considering imposing at least some of the nonsettling states' more restrictive remedies. [Windows Informant]
Perhaps there is still hope that we will see some kind of reasonable change come out of this case. With the capitulation of our pro-corporation Justice Department, we are in need of a little judicial intelligence.
I have said it before, that this case will be remembered more for its blunders and stupid witness stunts than anything else. Microsoft seems unable to win even with the help of the Justice Department. I think that arrogance will be the downfall of the house of MS. The fault for that will end up in the lap of Bill and Steve. Their refusal to face reality and find some way out of this will haunt the company for years...mj
