Qwest Troubles Worry Employees
The headlines about his employer, Qwest Communications International, are troubling to Kriss Ricketts.

There is a Securities and Exchange Commission inquiry, and there are regulatory reviews. Its financial forecast is being lowered, as is its credit rating.

Ricketts and other Qwest employees and retirees say they want to remain supportive, but they also say they're worried about their company and chief executive Joe Nacchio. [IWon Business]

The question is...will there be a retirement plan when this is all done? Todays Supreme Court ruling only makes matters more complicated. The only thing keeping Qwest from doing a Global Crossings is the old-line monopoly business. Kind of ironic when you consider that for years they have been trying to find a way out of the business...mj
