Redhat Academy In Greensboro High School
Well this is a cool story. "Red Hat, a Raleigh-based software provider, announced Tuesday that the Weaver Education Center in Greensboro will become the first public school in the world to offer Red Hat Linux training and certification." Update (3/31/03): The link is broken. Bad newspapers. I just checked. It looks like it is available for a nominal fee.

2003 Denver Election for Auditor
The Denver Post Online is running a story on the Auditor's race and contributions. I'm not sure that Debbie Ortega will be happy that B.J. Brooks is listed. Brooks was ousted a while back from her position as Manager of Parks and Recreation, by Mayor Webb, amid spending scandals. Instrumental in Webb's decision were two audits of the department, one by KPMG and one by the City Auditor.

This morning's Denver Rocky Mountain News Online has the details from candidate filings from yesterday. From the article, "The candidates' financial needs are limitless, they said." We knew that.

2003 Denver Mayoral Election
Campaign finance documents for January were due yesterday. The documents indicate that this is going to be a very expensive run for Mayor. Here's an article from the Denver Post. The Denver Rocky Mountain News is also running a story with fewer details and an article detailing Mayoral contributions.
