2003 Denver Mayoral Election

The Denver Rocky Mountain News covered a candidate forum on Tuesday night. The forum was sponsered by the Denver Ministerial Alliance. The Rocky reports that subtle differences are developing between the candidates. From the article, "The political neophytes - John Hickenlooper, Jeremy Stefanek and Elizabeth Schlosser - stress the importance of new ideas and no baggage" ... "The candidates who have held office or headed city or state agencies - Susan Casey, Ari Zavaras, Penfield Tate and Don Mares - talk about leadership and hitting the ground running."

In the spirit of Martin Luther, Elizabeth Schlosser, nailed her 50 theses for good government to the doors of the City and County building as reported in todays Denver Rocky Mountain News. A candidate was finally quoted saying something positive about city employees, sort of. One of Schlossers theses is, "In most cases, the ones who know the job best are those who are doing it." You can read Martin Luther's 95 theses here.
