Weblog Offer

I received a candidate inquiry yesterday about my weblog offer. My offer to help any candidate start a weblog is in a volunteer role. I don't want any dough for the help. The key is that the candidate has to start a weblog, buy hosting, and register a domain name. You can read about weblogs here and here, hosting and domain name registration, here and here.

2003 Denver Municipal Election - Events 2/17 - 2/23

I've listed the events that I know about below. If a candidate is not listed for the week it's due to their events not showing up on their website or e-mail notifications. Candidates and staffers please e-mail me at jworr@operamail.com with event information.

Sue Casey has several events scheduled this week. View them here.

John Hickenlooper's event schedule is here. Events from e-mail that aren't on his events page: Sunday, February 16 through Wednesday, February 19 (4 to 8:30 PM), Phone calls to registered voters!  Campaign Headquarters (1175 Osage, Suite 210); Tuesday, February 18, Denver Ministerial Alliance Mayoral Candidate Forum, New Covenant Christian Church, 825 Ivanhoe Street, 6 to 8:00 PM.

Don Mares has several events planned this week. They are listed on his website.

Elizabeth Schlosser is planning to unveil her "50 Principles of Good Government" on Tuesday at the City and County building.

Kathleen MacKenzie, candidate for City Council, District 7 is announcing formally on Monday the 17th. She's running unopposed and will be the senior member of council.

Doug Linkhart candidate for City Council At-Large, says to contact his campaign for event scheduling. Mr. Linkhart, don't make it hard to find this information, post it on your website.

Jim Raughton, candidate for City Council At-Large, has one event for this week. From his website, Sunday, February 23, 2003, 1:30-3:30 pm, Meet Jim at an informal gathering in the Sloan's Lake Neighborhood, 1750 Meade Street, Hosted by Virginia Dudden.

Tony Robinson, candidate for City Council At-Large, has two events showing on the front page of his website. That's the way to do it Mr. Robinson, right up front. His events sort of imply that he wants to become the candidate of the eaters. I can go for that.
