Howard Coble and the Internment of Japanese Americans

Howard Coble, a representative from North Carolina, agrees that the US was correct in rounding up American citizens and placing them in camps during World War II according to this article from ABC news. He said it was justified partially since we were at war and Japanese Americans were not safe.

Coble is a co-sponsor of a bill that would allow Hollywood to hack your computer if they suspected you of pirating music or films. Scripting News has more.

2003 Denver Municipal Election

The Denver Rocky Mountain News has a story this morning about the some of the campaign staffers working this year's election. 2003 Denver Mayoral Election

Someone anonymously released the results of a Zavaras poll. The Denver Rocky Mountain News has an analysis. The poll indicates Zavaras is in front, even in North Denver, where Mares lives. I don't think that Zavaras' campaign should sit still since the poll said he had 20%. Similarly Mares' campaign should not assume, since they finished second, that they're in the runoff with Zavaras. 47% of voters would not say who they would vote for or were undecided. Poll results here.

Sue Casey is proposing building affordable housing if elected according to the Denver Post. Casey was quoted as saying, "There is something wrong when teachers and police officers who work in Denver cannot afford to live here."
