Peter Erskine Interviewed Live On The New Jazz Thing, Audio Results

Peter Erskine sat in for a chat tonight and a 40 minutes or so inteview, posted here via MP3 in it's entirety, resulted. Use the links below to re-live the Live experience.

Boy did I have fun! I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing again myself and I'm sure I could pull out some really killer quotes. But you've got the whole shabang right there. We talked a lot about this weekend's Lounge Art Ensemble gig at the Athenaeum Jazz At The Studio and what we all can expect from the 'horn trio' (now that we know what to call it). There's even a hidden tune from the LAE "Lava Jazz" mid-way through (pending PE's approval). We also touched on the upcoming March 27th show with Sadao Watanabe and how it will be different from Saturday's. I was also pretty honored to have Peter give ME some props on my blog-style on interview prep. And I blushed live on mic. It would be nice to go back and chop the interview up into some logical pieces, but I hope those that dare to sample the entire plate will get enough meat to satisfy!

If you want to listen, we've got many versions of the whole thing to choose from. All options provide the entire interview. For listening on-line, try the Low-Fi MP3 Streaming version first to share the bandwidth with others...the quality is actually really good. If you've got to have it in Hi-Fi MP3 Streaming, then please do so and enjoy. For those on the road, try the MP3 Download version (about 38 MB), burn to your favorite listening device, and go forth with the New to the corners of the world!

  • Low Fi MP3 Stream (Preferred because more folks get to listen to it on my limited budget!)
  • Hi Fi MP3 Stream
  • MP3 Download (approx. 38 MB)
  • Use the oh so obvious but highly under-used Comment[] link below to share your thoughts on the interview and ways we can learn more in the future!

Other linkage and 2003.03.06 show extravaganza is available for the willing.

    Much Love...VO
