The Saturday Morning Post - My Head Swimming In Pizza Port Beer. H.B.T.M!

Woa. This morning I feel like I had 1 beer for each year.

I had a great time hanging out with great people at Pizza Port Solana Beach, in the annual VO Bday pilgrimage to the pizza-beer center of the universe. This year it was the pre-event, since today's is actually B-Day for me (sing along..."H.B.T.M, H.B.T.M. H.B.D.VO. H.B.T.M"). Thanks to all who made it special again! Here's the first wave of well wishers...

VOs 41st Pizza Port Solana Party - The First Wave

And here's the VO 41st Annual Pizza Port BDay Lunch Slideshow. What a crew!

I have to admit it was a bit strange drinking beer and eating pizza with the big screen showing the NCAA tournament and several small screens around the place showing the war. There's irony everywhere. But it was great to have people who might not normally do lunch together (even though we do work in the same organzation) hang around the beer-hall appropriate benches and chew the fat about most everything. Obviously, the war and our involvement was a large topic, but even the last wave out the door were still making somewhat coherent sense in such a strange and confusing time. Even more obvious (at least to me), was the amount of fun I had! Thanks to all again!!

This version of the Saturday Morning Post will be pretty brief (he says after blabbering above) as weekend plans are somewhat minimal. Hopefully we'll cruise smoothly through the passage of this BDay day and get some things accomplished. And have some fun. We have a late start today for SCLL Tee Ball Padres (2:00 pm first tee) and no other festivities for today...hopefully I'll figure out a good rib place for tonight's Bday dinner. Tomorrow should be interesting with SCLL Picture Day and then the Turtle Island String Quartet at Poway Center for the Performing Arts in the evening (if time and schedules permit). BTW, I'm going to be hosting the Tango Buenos Aires at PCPA on April 13, 2003, so you'll probably see some New info popping up on that in these pages. Around Casa Chaos, we can start putting away some of the kitchen-ware since that project is now in it's final stages (hoo ray!) so we'll be unloading some of the boxes that have remained stored since moving day about 7 months ago. And that darn grout still needs to be sealed. That's something that makes me woosy just thinking about it...wait...maybe that's still yesterday's beer.

Much Love...VO
