From TheNewJazzThing Network: The New G4 Thing

Well, the G4 is in and I'm doing exactly what I hoped I'd be doing. I'm blogging about the life that happens everyday. Lots of times the life that happens at Casa Chaos, even as it becomes a bit less chaotic and more done-ish.

That previous post was done from the offices of Crywolf, San Diego's Mac Place. About 10 minutes after opening the G4 box up. After a bit of boot up time (it was slower than expected...and I was later and more rushed than expected) and a bit of registration time, the machine found Crywolf's local WiFi network, I found my blog box at home, and I made the post. Just one of those "gotta prove I can do it" things.

Anyway, the bit of info to take from tonight's TV session was from a Bravo show about the journalist hitchhiking across the country. He's got the video and audio setup that seems to be pretty flexible. He tosses a camera somewhere on the windshield and mics up the folks he's talking to. Just think if you could take something like that and plug it into a Inet connected computer like this very (warming quickly) one in my lap. And what if you were at the Playboy Jazz Festival with that setup. And maybe a direct line from the sound board to the computer, sending out a soundtrack stream for the blogging of the show (pictures, commentary, etc.). Hum....

OK. Now I'm getting some commentary from the other side of the bed about the commentary here. Night night.

Monday Cereal

Monday morning cereal. That stuff we all used to eat as often as possible and are now shunning out children away from by setting an example with bananas, Shredded Wheat, Cherrios, and Granola. OK, so they can have it once a week on Monday.

Padres Opening Day today.

"Peter Arnett is toast", was what I said this morning after reading about his interview on Iraqi television. This afternoon on the way home to prep for the game, I heard that ABC had popped the toaster. And Peter had apologized. More to come...
