Weblog Entry - 03/25/2002: "Ruh-Neb": "It also reveals the weakness of blogging: the sound bite, the random thought, the lack of cohesive analysis that results from spending hours or weeks to produce a few hundred or thousand choice words. "This is partly why I keep two sites at this point. One is for posting news items and the other if for writing. Still, the bloody calendar sitting there as a navigational tool almost forces a diary approach as opposed to a story approach. It cries out to have an entry for every day whether you really have something worthwhile to say that day or not!

I went looking for a picture of Mitch Kapor and dug up this famous portrait of Bill Gates, Mitch and Fred Gibbons taken for the 1984 rollout of Apple's Macintosh. This poster was distributed to every developer, our names were on the poster too, so that guaranteed that we'd put it up in our front office. We were proud to be Mac developers. In those days Bill was talent. Fred was a total suit, but an imaginative one who understood users. Mitch was the perfect eclectic and brilliant software designer. [Scripting News]Freaky! A very geeky, very young Bill Gates wearing a Macintosh t-shirt. Click on the photo to see for yourself.
