News: Spirit Air to offer upgraded coach seats in September -- http://www.spiritair.com/ Comment: They had ads in the Detroit papers today. For an extra $40 ($80 round trip) you get to sit in wide, leather chairs that are only two-abreast. You also get preferred check-in, whatever that means. Might be worth paying for if we have to take a red-eye flight back to Michigan from the Bay Area.
