News: Brandon points out a useless little Web game that rewards finger dexterity: http://c67.org/spinit/

Comment: You use the left and right arrow keys to spin a ball. It's harder than it looks. I was pretty proud of my score of 274. But then Brandon told me he got 3,700. Doh!

News: Data from U.S. Small Business Administration shows that 99% of the country's employers are small businesses and that they employ more than half of the private workforce: http://www.sba.gov/advo/press/02-35.html

Comment: It's frustrating to see the media focus on multi-thousand employee layoffs at big companies, and ignore the fact that a lot of those let-go employees are picking up jobs under-the-radar-screen at small businesses.

If half the nation's private workforce is at small businesses, doesn't it make sense that we promote government policies that strengthen and support small business owners?
