News -- Identity thieves have a new hoax: stealing confidential information from used hard drives they find in dumpsters or on eBay: http://cl.com.com/Click?q=b3-QH8xQYK27efPCysSPac7kAhCEG92

Comment - I did not know this was such a big problem. For individuals, the biggest risk would be if you have something like your credit card numbers and tax returns on your hard drive. So, I guess I'll either keep the hard drive from my old computers or physically smash the hard drive so it can't be accessed. Sounds too risky to try and sell an old hard drive on eBay, even if you think you've erased everything.

News - A crazy new hobby: spending thousands of dollars on making your car stereo louder than anyone else's. It's called dbDragRacing: http://www.dbdragracing.com/

Comment - Article in Wall Street Journal says that hobbyists only "perform" at their conventions. One technique is to fill the doors of the car with cement so the sound goes outside instead of being absorbed by the sheet metal.
