Peter and I just saw Bowling for Columbine at the Bear Tooth. I, who am not unsympathetic to some sort of sane gun policy, was actually somewhat put off by the movie. Michael Moore is a shamless practioner of ambush journalism. As a result, the legitimate issues he raised got lost in the hullabaloo.

Do you know what smells really bad? A big fuzzy bouvier that has rolled in fresh moose urine. Ugh. After our morning walk, Clem, Peter and I were sitting on the couch. All at once I noticed a very strong, very unpleasant ordor and my eyes started watering. I then remembered that Clem, who always rolls in everything, had rolled in a particularly big patch of urine in the snow on the Coastal Trail. Amazingly this rolling usually isn't a smelly issue. But that patch must been very fresh moose piddle. Ick...
Clem and I zoomed up to the shower. She smells quite a bit better now. But there is some residual eau d'moose urine. There is definitely another shower in her future.
