Today's big news is that Peter's daughter Alix was accepted into the University of Illinois Veterinary school. She applied to several different schools and still has two more interviews to go - Tufts and Penn. She also just interviewed with Purdue on Friday. But the U of I acceptance ensures that Alix will get to be a Vet!

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sort of an iffy day on the health front. The increased dosage of Impramine seems to have caught up with me. I was very nauseous, my head felt like it was squished to a dimension of six inches tall by two feet wide, and I could barely get out of bed. Sounds like a weird hangover doesn't it? Unfortunately, it wasn't. Just me and Impramine having some relationship issues.

Wine of the Night: Cosentino 2000 Dolcetto. A very smooth and complete wine. However, I have no idea what makes up the Dolcetto. It's my guess that Sangiovese may be our main grape. There's not a lot of spice. Very merlot like.

And don't you love the Cosentino wine sipping, toe tapping angel? I'll bet that angel doesn't live in John Aschcroft's heaven.

As promised earlier, here's the very funny Jeff Danziger cartoon from the Atlantic Monthly that pokes fun at the French. Big thanks to our secretary Christie and her husband Mike who scanned this puppy for me.
