I actually got to do a winter activity this evening! Right after work, I went ice skating on Westchester Lagoon. It was marvelous - the ice was great - the Lagoon ice was the one thing last week's rain improved instead of ruining. The city plowed and hot mopped several long looping sections all over the Northern side of the Lagoon. The skating was a total blast.
And for the icing on cake: the sun was just dropping low in the sky - the mountains turned that marvelous winter alpenglow pink. It was such a treat to actually experience a little winter fun.

Great West Wing line tonight from President Bartlett:
Every time we come to Southern California, we are absolutely the Clampets!
Why can't President Bartlett be our real president?
