Political and Social Rants
I can't believe California is seriously going to vote in Arnold Schwarzenegger. California richly deserves their batty reputation. This is so over the top....
And while I'm in rant mode: regarding ESPN and Rush Limbaugh, I've been a big ESPN fan since they first went on the air. However, in the past few years, ESPN has come to regards themselves as the message and not the medium. And the Rush thing is just one more indicator of their rapidly expanding ego. In the first place, hiring Rush was totally stupid. Rush doesn't know squat about football. I know more about football than Rush. Of course, ESPN didn't hire Rush for his football knowledge, they hired him for his shock entertainment value. And, they got what they paid for and were totally unprepared for it. Rush should have been fired that night. But ESPN dithered and couldn't do what needed to be done. They were in deep water with no clue how to swim.

So while Anchorage has been floating away this week in the second coming of the forty days and forty nights gig, it was 73 degrees in Delta Junction yesterday - an unheard-of Alaskan October temperature.

Barf-o-Dog
My day got off to whiz bang start this morning: Dark and early at 4:30 AM, Clementine had a barfing episode - right on top of our brand-new-last-night Marimekko comforter - her timing is exquisite. Fortunately, at the very first sound of an upset Bouvier tummy, I shot up from a sound sleep and was able to catch all the output thereby avoiding nasty nasty stains on our dry clean only comforter. Needless to say, I did not get back to sleep.
