We have a wonderful corner room at the Vintage Park in Seattle. Out nighttime view is simply spectacular.

Below is the new Seattle Library. An absolutely stunning architectural achievement. And just brilliant at night.

Amazingly, Hewey has held it together long enough for me to photoshop and post the picture. Let's hear it for the Hewster!!!!!

So, I'm back in my hotel room this evening. Hewey's LCD display has after 30 minutes of dimhood, sprung into life for an as yet indeterminate life span. As a result, this post could just tail off into the bit bucket before I complete it...

Anyhoo, I had a fabulous, albeit solo, dinner redux at the Wild Ginger. I just cannot resist their sublime Asian Fusian cuisine. Tonight's modest repast consisted of a fresh roll, a Korean short rib with a pineapple dipping sauce, just an exquisite satay of young mountain lamb with a peanut sauce, a combination coconut gelato and mango sorbet for dessert, and topped off by the all time Steph fav, the Satay Separator. I am in heaven. The only bummer is no Ski Boy - he flew back to Anchorage yesterday.

I head back to the happily frozen North tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, I won't bring back the freezing rain that obliterated all of our snow. In November, two days after I returned from Kansas, the temperature soared to 50, the rains came and washed away all of our snow.

Phil has suggested that I just stay in Seattle for the duration of the winter.

Since yesterday morning, it has been absolutely pouring rain. Buckets and Buckets. Cats and Dogs. Frogs. It's been raining off and on since we arrived last Friday. But nothing like deluge of the past the last 24 hours.

Fortunately, the sun just broke through the clouds. Whew! For awhile, Seattle was certainly living up to its rainy reputation.
