Mothers and daughtersLater than normal with posting today. The afternoon was spent out of town, and I've not been able to keep up with my reading. There have been some new visitors to Sugarfused over the past day or so, and I very much appreciate the kind comments that have been left :) It's been a surreal day, a day of mother/daughters bonding which involved visits to the "women's only doctor". I'll spare the details, but you girls know what I mean when I say it was the day for leg-shaving, nail clipping and slathers of lotion (a kind of pre-visit ritual we put ourselves through for the sake of the person at the other end of the exam table). Three appointments - a mom and her two (gulp) grown daughters, with conversations ranging from birth control and pre-menopause to Stevie Nicks and Kid Rock. I drove the long, winding country road home instead of the highway and we spotted a total of nine deer on the way. No traffic behind us, I stopped the car in the middle of the road each time they caught our attention. 14 goats and one llama later we were home safe and sound. Quality family time. I'll take what I can get :) 6:59:41 PM ![]()

ArtMagickA new discovery today - a "visual intoxication" - ArtMagick, an online art gallery displaying paintings from art movements of the 19th and early 20th centuries (for example, Symbolist, Pre-Raphaelite and Art Nouveau). Be sure to visit the Library for the poetry collections, and as an added bonus, there's a beautiful selection of ecards.6:00:31 PM ![]()
