Real-time air quality information that is gathered at the state and local level is now available on a national level at the EPA.  The Air Now site also links to a large number of air quality webcams from around the country, including this one maintained by the US Forest Service in the Columbia River gorge and this one of the Mt. Hood area.  Also, sites from the Wyoming visibility network.  I don't expect Wyoming to have much of a problem with visibility for a while, outside of a major forest fire.  Northeastern states have coordinated to support Hazecam.  The EPA also generates local maps with real-time data such as this one of the Wasatch Front.
