The Environment and Public Works Committee is scheduled to vote on Governor Leavitt's confirmation this morning at 7:30 a.m. (MDT). It will be streamed on C-Span. You can also find it on the committee's website.
UPDATE: Governor Leavitt's nomination just passed committee (7:46 am MST). The vote was 16-2 with 2 abstentions. Lieberman and Hillary Clinton were the two nay votes.
The Utah Legislature is making it simpler to find out what's happening. They have added a "What's Happening Today" section to the main page of their site. Thirteen committees are meeting today, including the Public Utility and Technology Committee which will be discussing email spam location and wireless phone number portability. Dennis Goreham will brief the Political Subdivisions Committee on GIS and Land Use at 9:10 this morning. UGS will do a presentation on the STATEMAP geologic mapping project at 2:00 pm.
The Western Regional Air Partnership is meeting today and tomorrow in Salt Lake City. They will be discussing final approval of the 2003-2008 strategic plan. WRAP has developed an RFP for a regional Emissions Data Management System.
