RFID China is a conference scheduled for Beijing China in October of this year. RFID manufacturers see big opportunities to use RFIDs in manufacturing and supply chain management which is the focus of this conference. At the same time, Chinese government officials are talking about issuing RFID identity cards to every citizen. They would then issue handheld RFID readers to the over 3 million police officers in the country. Colorado CIO, Leroy Williams, sees RFID opportunities in healthcare and public transportation systems.
