Nisus Writer for OS X gets better and better and a new beta has just been posted.

Compatibility with Word is getting better. This one does about 80% of the things that Word does and probably 99.9% of what you need Word to do. It also does many things Word doesn't and is visually beautiful (some of us love beautiful tools).

Oh yeah -- it is only $60.

There are people who study online worlds academically. These mirror worlds offer interesting insight into our own social interactions,.
