This is a spiffy idea! Courtney blogged about this, and I think I will be participating. May 10th is the day my sister graduates from Saint Norbert's College, so I'll have all sorts of interesting things to snap photos of. |

Tuesday So, about noon yesterday I developed a fever and bodyache, so I cancelled my plans for the rest of the day after work and slept. I fell asleep at 7:45p and got up at 7:30a this morning. I'm not at 100% yet, I'm really only at about 70%, but there are things that need to get shipped today, so here I am at my desk, being a trooper. I'm supposed to head out for another rehearsal tonight, and I've got the dentist at 3:15 (whee.) so there's no time allowed in my schedule for any variety of illness. Not to mention I have 4.5 days of PTO left between now and 1 July, and I've already got 2 days planned for Meg's graduation in May, and I'll likely need a day or two when we move at the end of next month. Which leaves me with a whopping half day of unspoken-for PTO. Not very much. My company is pretty good about leave, I get 20 PTO days for the calendar year, to be used for vacation, sick leave, personal time, floating holidays, you name it. We also get the six big calendar holidays. As you gain seniority with the company, you can get upwards of 30 PTO days, which I long for.
Oh well. Back to packing things up and dreading the dentist. |
