Pretty Day

A picture named Pink Bushes.jpg

As you can tell, I'm having way too much fun with my digital camera this weekend. It's been beautiful today, highs in the low 70s and just a wee bit breezy, so I ventured out to take some pictures of my neighborhood. These are the bushes next door that have turned bright pink this week while I was in Atlanta. The Dogwood in the backyard is no longer in bloom, but has leaved, and the tree across the way at the corner of 18th and Randolph is now beginning to sprout leaves. It's a nice sunday in Cherrydale!

Meet Fred

A picture named Fred.jpg

Meet also Fred, my bamboo plant. Fred's a new addition to 4106 18th Rd in the past few weeks, so it's time that we all got to know him a little better. He likes water and long rests on the porch, but hey, who doesn't? Fred's favorite food is fertilizer, but he can't have it very often, or he'll outgrow his pot. Fred does live on the porch, this is true, but we couldn't just give him his own place.

Fred is currently in DC working in the growth industry. We're not sure how long he's planning to stick around, but it could be a while. Say hi to Fred the next time you're by.

Meet Romeo

A picture named Romeo.jpg

Meet Romeo. Romeo is the neighborhood cat, who has been fed more than a few times by the guys downstairs. Romeo has become used to this and now accosts any member of the house who shows up to come in the door. If you try to open the door, Romeo comes in with you. It really looks like she wants to be adopted. However, I'm not in a position where I can adopt the poor beastie. But I will take her picture.
