Additional reports about voting irregularities and possible fraud have surfaced, particularly in Florida and Ohio. In several places the vote count was kept secret on grounds of terrorism and so-called information from the Dept. of Homeland Security. Watch this video.

Today my Hindustani neighbours presented me with some deli food on the occasion of Diwali. A festival of light is just what I need. Beautiful.
It is custom to set off firecrackers.
Times Of India: "US President George Bush and his bete noir Osama bin Laden have come together in the most unlikely of places in this Diwali season that marks the victory of good over evil - in Bihar markets selling firecrackers!
The Osama bomb is fighting the Bush bomb for prominence in shops selling crackers and other incendiary delights in the days before Diwali.
According to shopkeeper Manohar Singh here, the Osama bomb is in high demand. 'Though it costs Rs 1,000 per packet, it is selling like hot cakes,' he said."
Good idea, let them go off and explode with a big bang.

A picture named Security.jpg The BBC still continues to announce this war under the heading 'Security'. The correct word, dear Controller, is Insecurity.
Asia Times: Once again the US has been caught in a giant spider's web. Fallujah now is a network: it's Baghdad, Ramadi, Samarra, Latifiyah, Kirkuk, Mosul. Streets on fire, everywhere: Hundreds, thousands of Fallujahs - the Mesopotamian echo of a thousand Vietnams. The Iraqi resistance has even regained control of a few Baghdad neighborhoods."
New Statesman: "Mainstream media speak as if Fallujah were populated only by foreign 'insurgents'. In fact, women and children are being slaughtered in our name."
Seattle Pi: "The U.S. military said Thursday two U.S. Marine attack helicopters were shot down in separate incidents near Fallujah and their crews were rescued without injuries."
NBC: The news follows reports that more than 200 U.S. soldiers have been seriously hurt in the offensive and flown to Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany."
