The love of brothers
It is hard to believe that something about the love between two brothers can be learned by observing two cats. But, the love between Pixel and Shadow is real and deep. When Shadow was in the hospital Pixel looked for him everywhere. Now that he is home Pixel spends a lot of time licking, fussing and worrying over his brother. It has been heartbreaking seeing Pixel worry so much about Shadow.
For some people the thought that animals can have such deep feelings may be hard to fathom. On a certain level it is disturbing to think that animals can hurt so deeply both physically and emotionally; especially since we so casually kill them, both for food and in the name of animal control.
