Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit scooters, a bit photo, a bit trains, a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

Kitty news

Pixel in a bag

The news about the kitties is good! On Friday I took Pixel to his new vet, Dr. Klopfer at West Valley Pet Clinic. She seemed much more knowlegable about FIP and cat diseases. She said that Pixel seemed totally healthy. Then, she looked at Shadow's records and did not agree that a diagnosis of FIP was warranted. Today Sue took Shadow to the specialist in Capitola and that specialist also said that FIP was very low in the list of possibilities. We were going to do an endoscopy on Shadow. But, since the cost of the test is expensive, has the risks associated with anestesia and is not highly warranted; instead she (the specialist) has recommended a less aggressive approach. She is going to do another blood test. If his protien levels are still low, then we will come back with the cat and do the endoscopy and the associated biopsy.
