Can't Buy Me Love

My local city park had an Elvis impersonator performing last night as part of its summer family entertainment program.  Last year, they had a Beatles clone group.

Whether you support the Bush view of the economy (We've turned the corner) or the Kerry description (We've made a U-turn), the brightest spot in the employment picture has to be the growing field of celebrity impersonation.  There are no educational or training requirements, and, judging by some of the acts I've seen, no talent necessary.  What's more, your job can't be outsourced to Bangalore.

There will be great demand for Bush and Kerry impersonators in this political season, especially for Halloween parties.  Of course, employment opportunities for one of those groups will sharply decrease after the election.

But at the moment, the two candidates are continuing to impersonate each other in a desperate attempt to avoid alienating swing voters in battleground states.
