17 Hours on a Plane is a long time [posted by Troy] I am going to totally benefit from Jordan's year in New Zealand. Here's what I've gleaned so far: - Don't mix up Kiwis and Aussies. They don't like it.
- You get to see 4 movies on an 11.5 hour flight. Not bad.
- If you get the travelin' bug, it might not itch, but you still won't sit in one place for long.
- Accents are all in Rs. For instance, we pronounce "air" as ay-err. Kiwis would say somehting like ay-ah. Now, that's cool.
Moral of the story is that Stoner sounds healthy. He didn't swear as much as usual, but I think his parents were in the room. Rock on, Stoner!

Gone Forever!!!! YES! Finally! [posted by Troy] I give friends much of the credit for making me a librarian. You see, back when it was Friends, Seinfeld, & ER on Thursdays, I used to ask to work at the Augustana Library on Thursdays, because I could get more homework done. It gave me quite an opportunity to learn about libraries in a low-pressure sort of way. Now, the last episode is coming up this Thursday, and I can't wait. Sure, Friends did capture a unique "between" marriage time in the lives of GenXers, but it also made GenXers act like 4th graders. Do any of us really think that Ross could possibly have a PhD? Puh-lease! Don't worry, don't worry. We'll get to see a constant stream of friends episode in syndication. Not to mention that we'll probably have a string of crappy movies from these actors (Matt LeBlanc, David Scwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Mathew Perry, and Jennifer Aniston).
