Today's drive to Fargo was smooth.  Except for the occasional brief rain shower, it was sunny to partly-cloudy the whole way up.  By the time I arrived in Fargo in late afternoon, the sun was shining again and it was in the low 70's.

I also managed to catch 5-6 innings of the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs game at Miller Park in Milwaukee.  It seems someone who owns the St. Cloud, MN radio station I was listening to is a Cubs fan since the station carried the Cubs radio network.  Before the station was faded, Milwaukee was ahead 4-3.  If they manage to win the game, that will be their 7th straight win and will keep them above 500 for the year so far.

After fueling in Fargo, I did the obligatory bug-removal procedure and cleaned the windshield and headlamps.  Later I was talking to my wife on my cell phone, I observed two guys climb out of a truck that had just arrived (they parked across the way from me).  The older guy (the trainer) headed in to take a shower.  The younger guy (the trainee) climbed out with a bag of garbage in one hand and his shower kit in the other hand.  Then, because he couldn't make it to the restroom, he proceeded to "let it fly" between his truck and the one parked next to his--in broad daylight (I still don't know how he managed to open his fly while still clutching his items in both hands!)  I don't think the guy parked next to him saw what was going on since he was talking on his cell phone to someone.  I just hope he didn't decide to get out of his truck since his first step on terra firma would be a wet one!  Well, needless to say, I had my good laugh for the day.

I also saw a family from Canada pull up in their rig.  Dad (who was driving), mom, and two kids (ages 3-5).  I don't know how they do it!  I suppose that since the kids are young, there's less of a challenge for staying sane on a trip like that.  I'm guessing this is one of those special trips that dad takes the family on.  Still...I don't think I will try taking my family on a cross-country road trip in a truck!

After eating, I hopped onto the Internet to surf a bit.  My appointment isn't until 8:30 AM tomorrow morning, so I should get a good night's rest.  And I should make it home between 9:00 - 10:00 PM tomorrow night if all goes well.

miles driven = 567

PostScript: Brewers won 6-5.  Will the winning streak continue against the Mets?  Doubtful--but I'm cheering 'em on!
