After finding an empty rail container trailer in the warehouse yard, I set out for Oshkosh, WI and arrived there shortly before 8:00 AM.

That's where I'm writing these words now.  I should be loaded fairly quickly (I'm the 1st truck here) and then I'll head to a rail yard in Chicago, IL.

Well my son wants to watch Star Wars - Episode II (Attack of the Clones) again when I'm around (he watched it again by himself yesterday).  He got a real kick viewing the battle on Geonosis.  My daughter also wants to see it with me as well (I guess mom doesn't provide the degree of security that dad does -- HA!).  So, if all goes well, I'll be home by supper time and we'll all watch Episode II.  Oh, my son definitely wants to get a light saber.  Anyone know where I can get a used one?  (grin!)

miles driven = 449

PostScript: On the way to Chicago, I was given a new set of instructions after dropping the rail container.  You guessed it, I didn't get home until later on in the evening.  So I missed family movie night.  Bummer!

After dropping the trailer at one of the Chicago rail yards, I went to company's hub in Chicago and picked up an empty van trailer.  Then I proceeded to the shipping location.  On the way there, I managed to miss my exit and had to back track a ways.  Later on I discovered that I hadn't missed my exit.  The only exit onto the road off of I-194 was going south (and I was headed north).  So, I informed dispatch later on that someone needs to have a set of directions going north for going to this Chicago location.  Since I don't the area well enough, I didn't volunteer any possible directions.

After arriving at the shipper's location, I dropped my empty and hooked onto my loaded trailer bound for Cudahy, WI (suburb of Milwaukee, WI).  Traffic wasn't too bad on the way back--only a couple of stopping points.  Arriving at my destination, I dropped the trailer, headed for the warehouse, and checked in with dispatch.

It appears that I'll be going back to the Chicago and pick up a trailer bound for Cudahy again.  Then I'll be heading towards Minneapolis, MN for a Friday delivery.

I arrived home right before the kids went to bed.  After a quick supper, it wasn't too long before I was sleeping as well.
