Our Courage-less Centrist Politicians
Today's journey started in the wee hours of the morning. I had 3-stops in Illinois--Rockford, West Dundee, and DeKalb.

Everything went smooth. I'll be heading towards Minneapolis, MN tomorrow morning for a mid-morning appointment. If everything goes as planned, I'll make it home before running out of drivable hours.

Egads (on a different subject), 14 middle-of-the-road Republicans and Democrats (7 & 7) on the Senate Judiciary committee managed to "please" everyone by coming to an agreement to avoid a filibuster(s) when it comes to nominating judges. What a travesty. Every man and woman deserves the dignity of a timely up/down nomination/vote process for confirmation. It doesn't matter if it is for a judgeship or a PTA position. I am hoping and praying for a new breed of politicians who have the courage to stand by their convictions as well as the convictions of the people they represent rather than cater to their own selfish interests, the media, and any fat cats willing to support their re-election campaigns. The alternative in the next 20-30 years is to have puppet politicians in the pockets of the 527 groups, the media, as well as being all wrapped up in their next re-election bid. Wait a minute...that's already happening now. Do you love your country? Get involved! Politicians listen if enough people speak their mind on the issues concerning the future of our country.
