The drive yesterday back from the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin was pleasant.
Arriving back at the warehouse in early afternoon I stocked up on oil and 5th-wheel grease packets as well as changed the rear tractor tail light assembly.
I also went through the required 2nd Quarter Safety review. It was 30-minutes of a computer-video training session along with 10-questions on what you watched on the video. Although I scored 100%, at times it was difficult to concentrate on the video with conversations between drivers and dispatch in the background. This company is very safety conscious (as most large transportation companies need to be nowadays) and they have done a good job with putting together the training process using the computer.
I arrived home just before the kids arrived from school. Later my 6-year old son and I watched the "Spider Man" movie on TV. Although there were a couple of scary scenes in it (probably not suitable for a 6-year old), he did OK and didn't have a problem going to bed afterwards nor did he wake up in the night with a bad dream (A recent episode of the revised "Little House on the Prairie" series caused both my daughter and son to not be able to go to sleep right away!). He's always wanted to watch that movie and now he has. I'm sure he'll want to see the "Spider Man II" movie before too long. I'll have to rent that first and see it before deciding on whether he can view that one or not.
