Hows That Again

No Joy in Muddville (land of the Illini)
Today's ride to Iowa was a great prelude to warm summer weather--I even had the air conditioner on!

Hit a stretch of highway where hundreds of mini-insects sacrificed their lives on my approaching vehicle. Multiply that by hundreds of vehicles and a you're talking a serious bug-massacre took place today. Guess the birds will go hungry for a day or two until the next batch hatches.

The Illini lost to the Tarheels. One commentator mentioned that Illini fans will have to do what Cub fans are used to doing: wait until next year. The Cubs (like the Boston Red Sox of last year) are certainly due a title! Meanwhile, my home baseball team, the Milwaukee Brewers, I fear will wait years for a serious run at the title.

Tomorrow's trips should prove interesting. Up to Green Bay, WI; down to Oconomowoc, WI; up towards Minneapolis, MN. Some good miles will add up tomorrow.
