An Extra Driver
Last evening, dispatch informed me that I was one of eleven drivers who was an "extra" for today. Hmm...what's going on? Are they hiring more drivers than they can give routes/mileage?

Not to worry--at 3:00 AM I was awoken with a route (if I wanted it). Heck yeah--the alternative is perhaps not driving at all--like I did last Thursday. The driver of route I was to take wasn't feeling well. In fact, he was there in the office talking with the dispatch (and looking a wee bit pale).

I took the 3-stop route to the greater Green Bay, WI region and returned around noon to find out that I'd be going to Iowa tomorrow. Since it will be a shorter run (around 4-hours), I opted to start out early tomorrow morning rather than today in the afternoon.

It's definitely beginning to feel like Spring now--especially that Daylight Savings Time is has now arrived!
