The highlight of today's journey was a slow speed waddle of a gander of goslings (along with several goose parents) crossing a semi-busy road in West Dundee, IL. The only thing that sped them on their way was another truck driver's impatient toot of the horn.
The weather is hot and humid with the occasional thunder storm. Unloading the trailer in this type of weather produces some sweat! This weather pattern should hold for the next week or so.
I took a more scenic route back to the warehouse (that was actually a bit quicker than the Interstate). I'll probably take the Interstate next time as there was a fair amount of stop-and-go traffic through smaller towns along the way.
Tomorrow, I'll round out the week by going to Minneapolis, MN and back.
