Within 10-minutes of starting out this morning, my windshield was covered with bugs. For whatever reason, I believe I received one-half of the Fargo bug population on my windshield. Seriously, I couldn't believe how many little bugs with big wings got on my windshield in a very short amount of time. Between 4:00 and 5:00 AM must be the optimum time for these bugs to be out and about. When the sun arose, it was kind of neat to see the wings of the carcasses go in unison across the windshield as the wind currents took them this way and than that. After my first delivery, I cleaned the windshield. I could have waited until the end-of-the-day, but I prefer driving with a clean windshield.
After driving from my 2nd delivery location to my 3rd delivery location, I heard that a bad accident involving a truck and car happened after I had passed through the area traveling to my 1st stop. It seems this is the week that I'm experiencing near misses regarding serious accidents. I'm grateful to have missed them all. God's swift healing to those injured in the accidents....
I used the liftgate trailer for the last two stops. I found out afterwards that I had the trailer in the wrong position--the lift gate was either tilted or angled too steep for the freight to be moved off of the liftgate. Oh well, we managed to get the freight off safely. Next time I'll remember where to park the trailer so that everything goes smoother.
I decided to stop for the evening in Rogers, MN. I had a few hours left to drive, but since there was a wireless Internet connection at the truckstop there as well as being a bit tired from the day, I stayed put for the evening.
Tomorrow, I'll arrive at the warehouse and then home.
