TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 2002--IBM and Sun Life Financial, Canada's largest life insurer, today announced the signing of a contract that calls for IBM to provide a wide range of technology services to Sun Life Financial over a seven year period.
The contract is estimated at approximately US $164 million.

Accenture, one of the world's largest consultancies, is seeking to capitalise on the depressed energy sector by offering outsourcing services to US utilities.
By taking on their non-core functions, such as customer-care services, Accenture said it would enable US utilities to cut costs and improve services, giving them more time to devote to survival.
