Oops -- Feedster Was Fixed ***Hours*** Ago

I've been asleep most of the day (more than a bit under the weather) so I forgot to post that we finished the Feedster updates almost exactly on time and Feedster has been running fine ever since.

Feedster Maintenance

Well our last maintenance for a while is underway right now.  I didn't blog about it earlier since we put in a more elegant solution -- a single global change that affects everything in Feedster that touches the database.  So now rss feeds will get a nice error message if we have to shut anything down unexpectedly.

Should just be 10 minutes or so -- long enough to copy a 17 gig database across to a new hard drive.
