It's Official: I ***Am*** Dumb or "Isight 1 Scott 0"
Sigh. Last night I managed to (admittedly with a config file from a friend) "dual head X" i.e. setup my Linux XWindows box with 2 monitors. That's very, very cool so when I bought an Apple iSight today I figured "No Problem. How hard can it be after configuring X ?". **Moron** Actually its been 4 reboots and a new version of iChat and my iSight camera still isn't detected. I get the dreaded No Camera Attached message -- EVEN THOUGH the Microphone works fine. Yes it is a G3 (crystal / white iBook 600 mhz running 10.6.2). The little green led on the top of the camera comes on for about 30 seconds when I plug in the camera and then goes right off again.
Anyone else encounter this? Sight. Able to leap tall buildings, Able to install X Windows, Unable to plug in a camera and have it work. :-(

Chatzilla and Firebird
I'm presently seriously in love with FireBird but also starting to be romanced by Chatzilla. Now Chatzilla, which used to come with Mozilla, is a FireBird extension and if you need it, look here.
Note: Not much blogging going on today as I'm out of my home office and away from Radio. Hm... This is getting serious. Perhaps it is time to move to a purely server side blogging approach. Anyone have a url to that Radio tool which outputs everything to an RSS backup file?
