Great dinner tonight with my friend Lucy who lives here in Denver. We supped at the Barolo Grill. The wine was: Tenuta Carparzo Brunello d'Montalcino 1996 Unfortunately, there's not much information available on-line on the Tenuta. It is very good - a very smooth moderate sized wine with a nice zing of acid. Good stuff. 7:58:25 PM    comment []

Ah - I am happily ensconced (there's that word again) in one of the great old hotels of the West - The Brown Palace in Denver. My family has stayed here for three generations - it is just such an elegant and special place.
